This Damage Policy outlines Wolpaq's approach to equipment damage, accidental damage during
installation, post-installation physical damage to installed systems, and the respective
responsibilities of Wolpaq and the Client in each scenario. This policy applies to all
products supplied and installed by Wolpaq, including Wind + Solar Hybrid Energy systems,
Smart AI Classroom equipment, IT infrastructure hardware, CCTV and surveillance systems, and
Building Automation components.
Important Note: Physical damage to equipment caused by accidents, misuse,
vandalism, or environmental events (such as lightning, flooding, or fire) is distinct from
manufacturing defects and is generally not covered under Wolpaq's standard warranty. Please
refer to this policy and your Warranty documentation together for complete coverage
information.
1. Damage During Delivery and Installation
Wolpaq takes full responsibility for the safe handling and installation of all equipment
supplied under a project contract. In the event that equipment is damaged during transit or
as a direct result of Wolpaq's installation activities:
- Wolpaq will arrange for the repair or replacement of the damaged item at no additional
cost to the Client
- The Client must report any visible delivery damage to Wolpaq's project team within
24 hours of delivery, supported by photographic evidence
- Damage discovered post-installation that is attributable to Wolpaq's workmanship will be
addressed under the workmanship warranty (1 year)
2. Post-Installation Damage Categories
- Manufacturing defects identified post-installation
- Faults caused by incorrect installation or commissioning
- Equipment failure within warranty period under normal use
- Damage caused during Wolpaq-executed maintenance visits
- Accidental damage caused by occupants or staff
- Vandalism or intentional physical damage
- Damage from natural events — lightning, flood, fire, storm
- Damage from unauthorised third-party interference or repairs
- Structural damage from civil or building construction works
3. Accidental Damage — Solar Panels and Energy Systems
Solar PV panels and associated energy system components are installed outdoors and are
exposed to environmental conditions. The following provisions apply:
- Hailstorm or impact damage: Panels are designed and certified to
withstand hailstones up to 25mm at 23m/s. Damage from extreme hail events exceeding this
specification is classified as an environmental event and is not covered under warranty.
The Client is advised to include solar installations in their building insurance policy.
- Lightning damage: All Wolpaq energy systems are installed with
appropriate surge protection as per standard. However, direct lightning strikes are
force majeure events. Clients should ensure lightning protection measures are in place
on the building structure.
- Animal or bird damage: Wolpaq recommends bird-proofing measures for
rooftop panels. Damage caused by birds nesting or animals is the Client's
responsibility.
4. Accidental Damage — Smart AI Classroom Equipment
Interactive flat panels, AV systems, and classroom technology are deployed in active
educational environments. The following applies:
- Screen damage from impact (broken glass, cracked displays) caused by students, staff, or
objects is not covered under warranty
- Damage to external ports, connectors, or peripheral devices due to mishandling is not
covered
- Wolpaq offers optional accidental damage protection plans for classroom equipment —
please enquire at the time of project agreement
- Equipment that has been subject to liquid damage will be assessed on a case-by-case
basis; repair costs will be borne by the Client
5. Reporting Damage
In the event of any damage to Wolpaq-installed equipment, the Client must:
- Report the damage to Wolpaq promptly — within 72 hours of discovery —
via email at info@wolpaq.com
or phone at +91 90597 30203
- Provide clear photographs and a written description of the damage and the circumstances
under which it occurred
- Preserve the damaged equipment in its current state pending assessment by Wolpaq's
technical team
- Not attempt self-repair or engage a third party for repair without prior written
approval from Wolpaq, as this may affect any applicable warranty or insurance claim
6. Chargeable Repair Services
Where damage falls outside warranty coverage, Wolpaq will provide a written repair or
replacement quotation within 5 business days of the damage assessment. Chargeable repairs
are carried out to the same standards as new installations, with a 90-day workmanship
guarantee on all remedial work. Clients may choose to accept the quotation, source an
alternative repairer (at their own risk), or proceed without repair.
7. Insurance Recommendation
Wolpaq strongly recommends that all Clients ensure their building and contents insurance
policies cover installed technology and energy systems against accidental damage, fire,
theft, vandalism, and natural disaster events. Some insurers offer specific technology and
renewable energy equipment riders that provide comprehensive coverage. Wolpaq can provide
installation documentation and system value records to assist with insurance declarations
upon request.
